A micro sci-fi writing project for students, about what we envision for the future of Singapore. The project is organised by Eastern Wood, commissioned by Arts House Limited for the Singapore Writers Festival 2025.
Status: Ongoing
Deadline: 31 Aug 2025, 11.59pm
Future 365 Days is a microfiction series based on our micro sci-fi writing event hosted in our authors group chat. From July 2024 to June 2025, we have selected an entry (sometimes two) for each date of the month.
Submission Criteria: Write a micro sci-fi related to the date selected in less than 200-characters. The time period must be on a specific date in the future, much like “on today’s date in history”, we will have “on today’s date in the future’s history”! Example: The micro sci-fi can be set on 24th December, telling a story of Christmas Eve in the future.
The English translation is up to May 2025, while the event on our Chinese platform have concluded. Read the Chinese version here.
